This exciting project kicked off in summer 2019. We are currently looking for volunteers who would be interested in helping us to improve our understanding of the distribution and conservation status of this species in Essex by surveying churches and favoured serotine foraging habitats in their local area.
This is a great opportunity to contribute towards our understanding of this amazing species, gain experience in surveying buildings for bats, and build confidence in identifying serotines in the field and via sound analysis. You will be able to select your favoured area to cover for the project and guidance will be provided on sites to survey. Please confirm if you would like to attend below.
If you are interested in helping out, we’d love to have you on board – please contact Sarah on sarra32@hotmail.com for further info.
